We’re Helping to Make Our Community Better!

We’re helping to make our community better! The team at RDS Same Day Delivery is proud to be part of yet another outreach program that is helping to make a difference in our community.

We’re Helping to Make Our Community Better

In this case, we are partnering with numerous local groups and agencies to provide more than 80,000 meals (and counting) to Queensbridge Houses, a public housing development in Queens that is owned by the New York City Housing Authority. Queensbridge is home to roughly 7,000 people and is the largest housing project in North America.

This effort began roughly eight months ago with plans to continue for the next two years. It allows residents to enjoy nutritious food while, at the same time, saving some of their limited resources for other important needs, such as medications, transportation, and children’s school supplies.

As a result of his networking efforts, Larry Zogby, owner of RDS, helped bring community leaders together for this initiative, hosting strategic planning meetings in his office at RDS headquarters.

If Only the Walls Could Talk … Actually, at RDS HQ, They Do!

When Larry Zogby was creating RDS’ new Long Island City headquarters a few years ago, he looked around the wide, expansive space and asked himself: “What if these walls could talk? What story would they tell? What story SHOULD they tell?”

And once his vision for the space became clear in his mind, he set about bringing that vision to life with the help of the great design team at KickCharge Creative and the meticulous installation team at JMR Graphics

The results? A bright, colorful, branded space that motivates his employees and inspires clients, fellow business leaders, and everyone else who visits RDS’ headquarters.

“Our building is one big, beautiful sales tool,” Zogby says. “It helps with recruitment. It helps me create the incredible culture that I want for my team. I use my space and everything in it to seal the deal with potential clients. When they see the care and attention we have put into this space, they know we will give them the same care and attention when providing them with the services they need.”

We’re Shining Our Employee Spotlight on Justin

We’re Helping to Make Our Community Better!

We love introducing members of our team to all of you. This month, we’re focusing our Employee Spotlight on Justin Moshensky, Business Development.

What makes RDS the “complete package” for you?

RDS is the “complete package” for me because it has given me the opportunity to grow professionally and personally. I have been given a great opportunity to learn daily and I enjoy the fact that every day brings different challenges and opportunities to work as a team to achieve our goals.

How does RDS “deliver the goods” to make your life easier or fun at work?

The people and the culture. RDS gives me the opportunity to work with everyone in the company and not just within my department. I enjoy the team atmosphere. being able to work closely with each department to help build a culture that allows us to work together toward success. I also get the opportunity to work closely with Larry and David Zogby, which through their 35+ years of running RDS has taught me invaluable lessons that I can apply in my personal and professional life.

How do you “deliver the goods” to make RDS’ customers happy?

I am able to use my skillsets to help grow business and connect personally with clients daily. I have always been a very personable and social person. Using my personality to help connect with people is a great joy of mine. There is a  sense of satisfaction being able to understand a client’s needs and help them achieve their goals.

When you’re not at work, what “transports” and fulfills you?

Everyone who knows me knows that one of the biggest passions in my life is hockey. I have been playing hockey since I was 6 years old, fortunate to be able to play hockey collegiately while studying at Alvernia University. I play both roller hockey and ice hockey. When not at work, there is a good chance you will find me at any of the local rinks on Long Island. Other than hockey, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, girlfriend, and the newest addition to my family—my niece Cameran, whose 1st birthday we just celebrated.

Happy Father’s Day to All of the Great Dads Out There!

Fathers are often the unsung heroes in our families. Traditionally, they are the “breadwinners” who work hard to put roofs over their families’ heads and food on their tables. Today, the roles of fathers have evolved. Some are stay-at-home dads, work-from-home dads, single dads, and long-distance dads. The list goes on and on.

But all GREAT dads have several things in common: They love their children and will do whatever it takes to empower their kids to be their very best. They are honest, hardworking, and lead by example. They teach their children to be kind, curious, compassionate, respectful, and independent thinkers.

At RDS, we celebrate great dads not just on Father’s Day, which falls on June 19 this year, but every day. Thanks for what you do, dads!

If you would like our help sending the special dad or dads in your life a gift of appreciation, we can deliver the goods—even if you’ve waited until the last minute.
